New race in Stocksbridge

Will the run happen next year? Heard there was very few in the race.

I believe it is happening next year jemson. While there was only 53runners I think that was the right amount for the first year. See of any potential problems without a large number. Not the easiest race to get to (maybe not for me living 1/2mile away) it might not get large numbers which is good as parking is limited. This race has the potential to be an annual jewel of a small race in the sheffield race season. Good mixed field on a tough course. Us in the top 10 were 3-4min slower than 10k PB pace.

The race will be on next year despite 1200 forms going out many club runners doidn`t know it was happening . We have raised about £800 for the charity, will try and publicise wider but as running owl says a nice niche race in a real gem of a spot in north sheffield

The Stocksbridge Chase is now in its second Year a scenic 10K above the town through Bolsterstone . On line entries still open for 21st Sept more details http://www.sheffieldrunningclub.co.uk .A nice step up from a Park Run .

A range of runners of all abilities . New variation on the course this year missing out the roadsection in Bolsterstone, combination of road and country with two visits to the trig point. F Good news able to use Stocksbridge Leisure centre for parking ,changing and toilets .Entries allowed on the day
