angel22 Â Â 10 #15 Posted June 12, 2012 Another vote for a pair of rats as a great pet for an 11 year old. There are some good breeders on here who should be your first approach, but if you must go to a pet shop for your rats, you must go to gleadless pets. The lady there loves her rats and they are all very well handled and looked after. Â Gleadless Pet store no longer sell animals. I got my two rats from there last year and was really impressed by how well looked after and cared for they were.
 Share this content via...
lauren84   11 #16 Posted June 12, 2012 I have had a number of syrian hamsters, and once used to handling they are lovely.  I actually think my Syrian liked me! She used to squeak when I passed the cage for me to pick her up - seriously  She bit my husband
 Share this content via...
