think its the crank or cam sensor,just wondering should we have these replaced then get a diagnostic to clear error codes???? and can anyone recommend a good place to get these parts for a vauxhall vectra 1.8 16v estate? we are booked in for a diagnostic tommorow.

 

Yes, totally, replace expensive parts first, without knowing if it needs them, then get a diagnostic done afterwards .

Just join the AA or RAC, you get 12 months breakdown cover and if you have home start they will come out with there diagnostic laptop and tell you whats wrong. Used the RAC several times and saved me a fortune. No fee for Diagnostic only for parts if you want them to supply.
