SUPERDREAM
Anyone else seing a trend here? Good heavens above! Stalking is almost as bad as wearing Lycra. I am now going to have a nightmare, which involves you and Cyclecrone chasing me through the village of Gilberdyke. There I am, running as fast as I can, while all I can see is the glare of yellow on the pavement, reflecting from your chosen garment. Help is at hand, theres a gas-guzzling car screeching up beside me.......Its Penistone999 and Shogun, both wearing driving gloves and shouting "Quick SD, jump in before you are engulfed in a web of Lycra. Just when I thought I was saved, adamf leaps off the approaching bridge on his BMX, fully armed with a loaded bicycle pump and starts pumping air at me, causing me to lose balance and tumble onto a cyclepath. "Hey you car driving beast" shouts SnailyBoy. "Get off our cyclepath. Its ours, and no horrid car driver shall wander onto it" he bleats. I roll off it, back onto the highway where Molly44 has arrived with a pannier full of knee and elbow pads, ferociously throwing them at me. Just when I thought all was lost, The SF mods arrive in a pedal car (theres a vehicle that no-one can argue about) and tell us all if we dont stop the bickering, they will take our toys from us all, and make us walk. We all lower our heads in shame, and apologise for our disgraceful behaviour and head for the local pub, and share a soft drink with ten straws. My kids wake me and say "dad, you were having a dream" they giggled. "how did you know I was dreaming" I replied. "well dad, you were talking in your sleep, and you said you was having a drink with some cyclists, so we knew you were dreaming" they laughed........... We are only human:suspect:

Penistone999
I take it non of your kids are allowed to ride a bike? Of course they are ,they ride on the fields at home ,and have lots of fun doing so . Ive no problems with kids riding bikes in the woods ,fields ,parks etc ,as bike riding is a kids hobby ,which you normally grow out of before reaching adulthood ( or you should do), its the minority still partaking in this hobby when they reach adulthood that worry me. They are obviously slow developers.

They are obviously slow developers. I assume you live right next to the field? They obviously don't ride on the street to reach it. The minority who get to pass you as you queue in traffic, who are a little bit slimmer than you, a little bit fitter and spend a little bit less on petrol. Yeah, I can see why you might be jealous. Bonjon
I will get a car when my legs stop working. I will get one just like yours if my **** stops working. I'm not sure what's worse, owning a car like that, or having to keep telling people you own a car like that. Definitely making up for something. I bet his wife gets on well with the postman/milkman/plumber/electrician etc.
gedley92
Some drivers need executing. They literally kill cyclists through their foolish driving, for what?, to try and save a few seconds. Everybody is in a race nowadays. People need to chill out a bit, but I doubt they will. We need cycling tracks completely separate from the roads, like in Netherlands. cycling in the netherlands is still dangerous! ive been to amsterdam twice and the cyclists give a quick ring of there bell before nearly knocking you over, the mopeds use the pavement, cycling lanes and the road and the cars are all over the place. its hectic i wouldnt like it if it was similar to that in sheffield. It's wild over there huh :hihi: Outside of Amsterdam it's a lot more sedate and out in the country cycling is as good as it gets.
