Mobile phone obsessives

Recommended Posts

I can't deny what a useful item these can be when you are out and about, but it seems to me that some people would be bereft without one.

You can't help but hear some of the inane and banal conversations around you,and see groups out together, but all on their mobiles talking to somebody else.

That's life I suppose and the only ones that really bug me are obviously car drivers who are obviously reading or sending text messages while driving, and people in the checkout queues who have them stuck in their ears whilst being served.thats just ignorant and I wish the checkout girls would make them stand aside until they had their undivided attention.

Some people seem to spend so much time texting, they are never really enjoying living in the moment.

The mobile phone allows one to have virtual friends wherever you are, not real people but the feeling one belongs somewhere somehow, in which the individual becomes unaware of their surroundings the second the phone barks. It proves that you can make people reliant on anythng, and their phone is a lifeline to life inself. They bare in effect letting the tail wag the dog, teaching them to be reactive, while making the mites feel they are proactive.

The best con, the most addictive con, invented to date, and like any addict they cannt survive with it, they just do not realise while they point fingers at other addicts they have become acceptably social addicts.

I thought most people used mobile phones to try and get sex or at least something other to their personal advantage.

Earlier this year I was at a rugby international sitting in an expensive seating area. Two young women sitting in the row in front of me spent the whole match looking at their mobile phones. Why not just stay at home ?

When I play golf, i switch my phone off and put it in by bag and enjoy my 4 and half hours disconnected from the world. :)

However, Someone I play golf with is constant reading his texts, and checking his facebook while walking up the fairways.

there are some shops who wont serve anyone who is on their phone. But I do agree with you. Some people have to walk around with them in their hands, like a security blanket.
