'Artists for the Red Cross' - Sheffield Charity Art Exhibition & Auction

The annual ‘Artists for the Red Cross’ exhibition and silent auction is returning to Sheffield for its second year. This unique exhibition and silent auction features original pieces of art, generously donated by renowned local artists, to promote the work of the British Red Cross and raise funds for the charity.

The artwork is being showcased in the Sheffield Winter Garden from 7-9 June 2012. The ten artists who have kindly donated their pieces are: Hazel Lale, Nigel Bendle, Toby Hazel, Lin Cheung, Cynthia Dibbo, Aiden Smith, Ladoza, Lynne Wilkinson, Gorima Basu and Sid Fletcher.

The exhibition demonstrates a variety of different styles and mediums, featuring everything from contemporary screen printing to unusual watercolours, landscapes and portraits. There is sure to be a canvas that catches your eye!

The values of the artworks range from £100 to £700. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase an original and unique piece of local art, whilst supporting this invaluable charity in its appeal to help all those in situations of emergency and need.

Bids for the silent auction close at 5pm on Friday 29 June and can be made at the event or online from now, by visiting redcross.org.uk/artauction.
