Motorcade in Sheffield city centre..

Recommended Posts

Coming out of the station today about 4 or so policemen on bikes came flying through blowing whistles and shouting at people crossing the road to get out of the way. This was swiftly followed by a couple of big black 4x4s with tinted windows and a couple more coppers.

Wondered if anyone knew who the VIP might have been? My first thought was Nick Clegg, though I don't know whether he gets that full treatment as DPM (though I guess you could argue he needs it!). Any ideas?

*Edit - this was at about 5 or 10 past 5 this teatime.
