centre parcs have a fishing lake with camping facilties, or if u really want to impress and make the trips more often book a chalet, she can lounge around go swimming etc spa's horseriding while you fish away. And yes, its a carp lake, last time i inquired biggest was 20 -30lb. The husband and i are carp anglers and looked into this as a family holiday with the kids... But that nrly trebled the price lol. they do have camping places tho so give em a call

Walts pond at Torksey Lock allows tents I think rates are very cheap, it's behind a pub and walking distance to a car boot sale on Saturday and Wednesday afternoons. There are some 20lb plus carp in the pond

Never ever seen anyone fishing form a canoe :hihi:.Well only on Robson Greens programs. You can fish from boats on Ladybower or Norfolk Broads.

Just wondering, thanks. I think I've only ever seen people in the UK fishing from the shore, whereas in Virginia they usually fish from a canoe or boat.

"I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you!"

:)

We just get black bears there, not grizzlies. But you don't want to keep food in your tent in the woods.
