Air conditioned buses/trams

Recommended Posts

After a previous thread about overheating buses, ok I know that was the engine, but what about air con on buses/trams? I realise that this has been the first nice day of the year so far. But I would take public transport more if there were some sort of air conditioning. It's more or less fitted as standard in most cars now, and has been for a few years. Just wondered if there was such a thing, and if not, why not?

For the few really hot days we do get, its probably not worth it. I have commuted on the tram during rush hour when it's hot, and I have to admit, its not pleasant.

My car doesn't have air con, but it is quite old, and I can just flip the roof down when the sun shines anyway :D
