Baby and toddler portraits

Recommended Posts

I'm just looking for some feedback really. I'm an artist, and I've frequently been asked by various friends and family to paint portraits of babies and toddlers (as well as pets).

I decided to offer these for sale to the public, so I've created a website where you can order the portraits online - www. drawmyface.co.uk (I can't post links yet, sorry)

I mostly do digital paintings, which are then printed on to canvas (you can see videos of how this works on the site).

I'm just wondering how much demand there would be for this kind of painting. Does the digital aspect put you off? Would you prefer a traditional oil painting even if the digital painting is quite a bit cheaper?

I'd be interested to hear your opinions.

Also, if anyone knows of anywhere around sheffield where I might be able to put posters up to advertise this service, I'd appreciate your suggestions.
