Walking from town to meadowhall

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help with a walking route from town centre to meadowhall. We are arranging a sponsored walk/bucket shaking event in aid of the childrens hospital. We need to come into contact with as many people as possible, hopefully for them to donate a penny or two:) so needs to take in main roads, not backwacks/canal route. Any ideas?

Thanks

The areas between the two are very industrial. You'd need to take a really long round trip to try and come into contact with shopping areas and people.

How about Sheffield to Chesterfield? You'd encounter loads in Woodseats.

As above, you would probably bump into more people (walking) on the canal route, if it's a nice day.

Start from midland train station ( you'll get a good few there) heading over to Victoria quays then canal then u got everyone at meadowhall.

How about start at station, over to canal basin, along canal to arena then through centertainment and retail park and over to meadowhall. Or as above leave canal at Staniforth Road up to Darnall then left along Greenland Road pass B&Q carry on to Centertainment/Retail Park/Meadowhall.

You could leave from bus station, go up Pond Street & down past Castle Market then go through Wicker arches turn onto to Saville street up to Attercliffe Road and then follow all way down to Meadowhall. You'll pass Don Valley, Carbrook ok perimeter I grant you but it's there, then on to Meadowhall.
