heres a little bit of fun, i copied it off a punk site i frequent.

1. DO YOU KNOW THE DATE OF YOUR BIRTH? GOOD.

2. GO HERE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Lists_of_number-one_albums_in_the_United_States

or for the UK

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UK_Albums_Chart_number_ones

3. Scroll down this page until you see a list of links and find your year of birth. Click on it. You should now see a list of all the #1 albums of that year. Scroll down until you find your birthday and the corresponding album.

In this tournament we will be trying something a little different. Crazy, perhaps..... Instead of nominating your favorite punk album from a certain time period, you will be nominating albums from the year you were born. One of these albums MUST be the number one hit album on the day of your birth. The second can be ANY album from that year. It does not necessarily have to be punk, rock, or any genre in particular... but it MUST be from that year.

There will be more information coming concerning the rest of the tournament and how it will be constructed, but for now, you have everything you need. Everyone post the #1 album on the day you were born + the album of your choice from the year of your birth (WIKIPEDIA is your friend).

Bah, a compilation album the week I was born, and an otherwise disappointing year of dross for the rest.

Birthday: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pure_Gold_%28various_artists_compilation_album%29

Album: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, by Elton John

and to top it off the best tracks on it are 2 t rex and a deep purple lol

You think you've got it bad! Original cast recording of My Fair Lady for me.And the best choice I can make is Elvis with the Kid Creole soundtrack!

Birthday: Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel.

Album of the year: I would have said Bridge Over Troubled Water, or EdnaK's choice of Carole King's Tapestry. Seeing as they're out, I'll go for Teaser And The Firecat by Cat Stevens.
