There's still time to get the latest edition of Linux Format magazine - It's cover reads "Beat the C.I.A - Keep everyone out with our ultimate privacy guide' - wonder how long it will be before they are closed down? Also comes with Tails Linux with TOR!

Its a bit stupid really. If i was a terrorist i`m obviously going to wake up one morning using my own email address and IP address to map out my plans of dominating the world.

At no point would i think of using somebody else`s public router with a one shot email address or god forbid meet them in person to talk about the heinous plans.

If they just want to find out what the best porn site is they don`t have to snoop they can just ring me!!

Kids have been using bootable USB sticks with ubuntu and TOR on for years to bypass the school computer security so they can get on the net and play games. How long before ALL their peers have learnt tricks like this. There are even tutorials and i think most kids know how to use Google.

Stop trolling, you know nothing of what I get and I am not going to tell you.

Do you see?

I'm not trolling (as you frequently accuse anyone who says anything that annoys you) i'm merely stating the fact that you keep bragging about all your possessions that you take for granted. Such as your precious xbox and live account, your ipods or ipads (or whatever is the obsession for the week), your contract samsung galaxy S2 etc. They are all luxury items that me and many of my friends who work 60 or even 70 hours a week can barely afford after mortgage payments and bills etc.

With regards to the OP, i was merely suggesting that your open discussions on a public forum about your apparent life of luxury, whilst admitting you do not work to earn a living, could be read by the powers that be and be interpreted as a drain on public funds and noted as an area of society for possible savings.

Have you read a book called 1984? A few years ago it may have seemed a bit far fetched, but now....?

If kids are that smart they won't be using Google as their search engine they'll be using DuckDuckGo!:hihi:

I'm not saying you shouldn't own a PS3 and latest Ipad but when 13 billion a year is spent just on DLA alone, it’s not unreasonable of the tax payer to ask how the money is being spent.

But if you was deemed disabled or a lunatic by a doctor then the state pay you good money for staying that way would you turn it down? Of course you wouldn't, only a complete loon would turn it down!

The system is wrong, but that's another subject now on another thread.

I think that this quote is off-topic - if you mean public money being given to Roman Abramovich - then yes - you too are a shareholder of Chelsea FC!:hihi:

Anyone heard about this one ?

Medical and social security records kept by public bodies are being unlawfully or inappropriately accessed dozens of times a month and hundreds of civil servants disciplined for data offences, according to Government records.

Now they aren't supposed to access this data at all without authorisation and certainly not to disclose it to third parties, what chance do you think there is for your internet history remaining private if it can be accessed at will by those with RIPA powers.

Now the only way to ensure this won't happen is not to collect the information in the first place but as that isn't going to happen and the data will be collected access should only be with a warrant and the punishment for access without a warrant should be more severe than a slap on the wrist

I know the civil service and I bet out of the 513 who were 'disciplined' it didn't even mount too any more than a minutes caution.

But as they always say, if we've nothing to hide then we've nothing to fear ..........
