The Star newpaper AT IT AGAIN

Recommended Posts

Not really Corks, the national news (usually on page four I think) is always a couple of days out of date, and now even the local news is a few days late!

Yeah that's an even bigger improvement lolol :hihi:

It doesn't matter whether it's Wednesday, United or just Joe bloggs in the street. If there's a story then the Star will chase it no matter who it upsets. Selling papers (or trying to) is the name of the game. For those who can remember back to the early nineties, the Star was the leading campaigner in trying to get the World Student games in Sheffield. When the decision was finally made and Sheffield was announced as the winner the Stars headline was "We've got it". Move on a few years and every time someone mentioned the games the Star was always reminding everyone how much it cost and the burden it placed on the people of Sheffield. But they are also quick to praise the wonderful facilities that Sheffield can provide when it suits them and there may be a good story in it.

Madine has said how highly he rates Evans before as we all remember, maybe he'll get chance to play with him now...

As for the Star, the last time it was any good it was still a broadsheet - the day it changed to tabloid size, the attitude of the reporters seemed to follow. Makes a change for them to report anything anti-Wednesday though, particularly at the moment.

If Evans starts playing with Madine then the pair of em will get solitary and i hope they through away the key.
