Taking holiday money to bulgaria

Recommended Posts

We`re off to bulgaria soon and wondered what`s best for taking your spending money. I don`t want to be ripped off with travellers cheques, i don`t want to be charged every time i want money out of an ATM, I could change my money here but the exchange rate is a lot better over there. What other options do i have?

What are the ATM fees if you use a pre-load Visa card out there?

But it sounds like you've already decided to risk taking a wodge of sterling with you and change it there.

Make sure you have adequate insurance that covers personal money, then take cash with you, if you know you can get a better exchange rate over there.

Good idea, I`ll check my insurance.

The only thing I would suggest is changing your money in the hotel, do not change it anywhere else.

I`ve found in the past that crown exchange are the better option and they`re regulated by the local mafia err government i mean lol;)
