WI-FI on laptop not connecting

Have you try not using the xp inbuilt wifi program and install the software of the wifi card i.e intel ... ?

Alot of wifi card stopped working when you install sp3. So try what ive said above :)

You could be right!

Did the WiFi work OK before OS reinstall?

tbh, i dont know, it was given to us as it was knackered; turned out to be the hard drive, just installed XP on the new h/d, installed sp3 and all updates etc, no yellow exclamation marks anywhere in device manager, so I dont know what it is thats wrong :huh:

Iwould if it came with any software, but it didn't!

Take off the back panel and you should find the wifi card just google the model number on the card.
