If you'd try to read posts accurately it would save a lot of time having to explain things to you over and over again.

 

Trespass is illegal. Full stop.

 

If a civil action were to be taken the remedy provided by the court is to order compensation for any damages done. (That's monetary damages).

If there is no monetary damage, then there is no point in the action.

there is nothing in the OPs post that prooves it either way, cyclone seems to have a problem with anyone who gives an alternate scenario...Tunnel vision I think, also changing laws to suit his/her argument.

I have read your posts and you first said they were trespassers then said they would have to do damage to be prosecuted or there would be no point which is factually wrong.

You have also suggested numerous insulting things about me because of your lack of debating skills, make many stupid assumptions because of this.

 

I agree on one thing trespassing is against the law but here again you have posted it as though I say otherwise which I never have.

They could probably have done many things including closing the open garage door for the owner who had left it open [commonly known as honesty].

 

Is this suggestion really plausible, I think not.

But they didn't, she caught them coming out of the garage, so they were trespassing. And it's very difficult to imagine a legitimate reason for them to be doing that.

 

Maybe you're not aware of the high levels of thefts that are being reported that happen in exactly the way described here, or maybe you're an apologist for them for some reason?

 

Or maybe I don't jump to conclusions and label every scrap man a thief.

You refuse to explain your posts or to justify why a scrap man who wasn't a thief might be on private property inside someones garage...

It's hardly much a jump from finding someone trespassing in your garage to concluding that they were looking for something to steal... Is it?

Show me one piece of evidence that these people were thieves and I will agree with you.

Nothing was stolen or damaged.

No forced entry to anywhere.

The OP clearly mixed up saying one was in her neighbours house.

I agree that they might not have been. I don't believe it's likely that they weren't though, there behaviour isn't normal for law abiding people.

 

You are aware of the high number of thefts of metal? And that the thieves often pose as scrap men? Would this knowledge and the behaviour the OP describes not make you suspicious that were intending to steal?

Yes but it doesn't proove anything, although it is best to be carefull I do think these threads automatically calling certain members of society Pikey gyspy thieves etc is a sad endorsement of the city we now live in.

I also believe some people to be almost neurotic with some of the things they put on here.
