Just read on one of the facebook pets pages that someones cat who has been missing for 3 months "has just wandered back in like he has just been out for the toilet, he ate then slept and is ok ! " Apparentley came home wearing a collar which he wasn't wearing before so looks like" he had been looked after somewhere" .............

Thought I would share as it has given me some hope that Alfie whos been missing since November

Can I just draw your attention to this thread? This cat was found 10 MONTHS after he went missing and has been home, well and happy and showing no sign of wanting to leave again, ever since he returned :)

Don't give up hope- he may still be found :)

Thanks Medussa :) it does give you hope doesnt it. Im sure some one has either taken him in or taken a fancy to him ;) but he is chipped so fingers crossed. Now the warmer weather is starting to approach, Im hopeful he wanders back home sometime soon just like the cat in OP :D

Mine came back after about 6 months.

It would always go out with a new collar, and come back after a week head to toe in mud without a collar, he would have a bath, get his new collar and stay for a few days then go for a week or so, coming back head to toe in mud without a collar.

The time it took him 6 months, he came back with the fluffiest hair ever and a pink collar with name tag fluffy! He had been castrated and seldom left the house after that. He had been after a bit of fluff a mile or two down the road and they thought he was a stray (due to lack of collar and been covered in mud), they handed him in to the rescue centre, where he was castrated and the people who had handed him in ended up adopting him. Yet he was chipped all along with out details! Anyhow, we gave them the £40 they had paid for the 'adoption' and that was that.

Damn - I thought you meant your own cat was home after 3 months, reading that title

I'm still keeping an eye out

Sorry Strix ...... and Thankyou :) I still look when Im out and always look at the windowsill before going to bed as that was where he sat to get your attention when he wanted to come in :hihi:

Thinking of doing posters again to jog peoples memory ..

thanks MC. gives a little hope about Ted. had a false alarm last night - raced round to a house following phone call - and was greeted by a different, rather bemused black and white cat, wondering what all the fuss was about :):(

I still hope that Sacha may come home but after that nasty winter, with its -17 C temperatures, I really don't think he will. Strangely, Sacha looked very much like Alfie, but a bit slimmer in the face
