If you are squeamish, don't watch the video report, truly shocking!

We have a large Pakistani community who all seem to have strong connections with Pakistan, how can educated brits not influence this despicable routine practice...?

We should give more arms to India an encourasge them to expand their domain.

Because their belief system is fundamentally misogynistic.

Because of the disgusting way you treat them, and the conditions you subject them to.

It is not the way a man treats a person he respects

The disgusting way I treat them? What are you going on about?

Even if that was true, the opposite of respect is not scared.

When are the English whites going to march and demonstrate against domestic violence carried out in the UK by English whites?

The silence from them is deafening.

Why are you making the thread into a racial thing again? You are deafening with those types of slips. :loopy:

There is violence which is bad and despicable, but the article isn't about domestic violence in Pakistan or England, it's about ACID BEING THROWN IN THE FACE FOR STUPID REASON OF SUPPOSED PRIDE / HONOUR!

They're not honour attacks. How many times, they're DOMESTIC DISPUTES, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. As much as you'd like to pretend there's something unique about it it's sadly routine across cultures. Much better to shine a light than moan about the darkness, what are YOU doing about a topic that seems to exercise you so much?

Of course there is domestic violence in all cultures. But the abuse is on a different level in some cultures. I saw "Extreme World" last night about the Congo where rape and mutilation of women is horrendous.

Although there's still a lot wrong with the treatment of women in this country, its insignificant when compared to more uncivilized nations.

You could only say that if you've got comparative stats for domestic violence.

Have you got comparative stats for domestic violence?

If we were talking about just domestic violence, which we are not! Then i'd be posting articles like this.Which actually sounds worse than the domestic violence issues we have here.

But once again, this is about stopping someone conceiving to burn away someone's face.
