Paul Blade
Football is an emotive subject and perhaps moderators should be not affiliated to either Sheffield club as its impossible to be impartial. Shot yourself in foot The thread you are whining about the posters were warned twice by Medusa before she closed it Not Robbie or Sibon, and FYO Medusa doesn't even like football Back on ignore I feel better already

As I said Cuttsie. There are topics that arent suitable for discussion right now. If you really want to discuss them, start your own forum. If you want to post here, you know the rules. F. Sidebottom
Please refer to my previous post. Back on topic please. I'm sorry Robbie but I have to agree with Titanic - your reponse is confusing and contradictory. You state he has to go back on topic, but this thread is about why people aren't posting, which is what Titanic was responding to and addressing in his answer yet you effectively warn him to stay on topic?? In addition he mentions threads being closed without valid reason. Discussions on the ticketting policy of Sheffield football teams in the Sheffield Football forum is the right place, regardless of who starts the thread. I've read Titanics OP on that thread and it is IMO a perfectly acceptable thread and post. Some other posters will naturally be paranoid and post insults towards titanic. Regardless of the reasons for that, the issue lies with those posters, not Titanic. It seems there may be a fear factor at work here resulting in unfair cencorship. CorkerSWFC
To be fair though, the papers are allowed to say things but your not allowed on an open "public forum" isn't that just a load of balls cause the site owners are worried about getting done ? I think the Ched Evans case has been dealt with shockingly on here, one minute you can talk next minute you can't what about posters who see the old thred about cheds case, then come on 2 days later and mention it, it's yes or no, no in between in my opinion. F. I can understand the reasoning behind the Ched Evans threads. We're allowed to quote newspapers/news channels, because that's not libelious. But it can only be fact - i.e. what's quoted - we can't speculate - that could get the forum into trouble. And if we want to discuss the morals etc. of the situation, or discuss issues relating to criminal law, that's not for the football section, and it can't be discussed in relation to an on going case. Whatever gets put in this thread about Ched Evans and his court case will result in it deteriorating into a slanging match.

Guest sibon
Papers stick to facts, sadly some users who post, can not do the same. Papers also have legal teams to check articles before publication. Owlstalk and Sheffield Forum have both dealt with the issue in the same way ... For the same reasons. I don't know whether the Blades forums have done the same thing. I can't see a problem with that discussion taking place. It will have to be after the verdict though.
