Is everyone too scared to post.

I do not feel every one is afraid to post, some cant be bothered, others have dodged the bullets after a mixed weekend for the Sheffield clubs.

The bullet dodgers have re appeared over the past two days, until the next defeat anyway.

Bottom line is there are lots of forums and social sites out there, many without so many opinionated, ill informed members.and over cautious mods.

It would be even more helpful if contributors kept their posts on topic.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I would politely suggest that showing how subjects cannot be discussed and suggesting an idea for improvement is on topic.

Maybe I could have been more specific, and stated that perhaps the closing of threads that are relevant to the section and suggesting a list of what is and acceptable to post would bring back those people who seem to scared to post.

If this section is to thrive in the manner the original poster wanted then clear guidelines on what is and isn't acceptable is required.

This section is Sheffield Football.... there's a good starting indicator of what can be posted.

If it is felt you are on the wind up/trolling, then it may be that your thread is closed or post is deleted.

Occasionally if it persists, we may suspend your account.

If we were to create a list of what is and what isn't allowed, I think we would be here all day.

If you don't like how the forum is moderated, then I can only advise of 2 options....

Take your concerns to the helpdesk who will look into your query and moderation.

Or perhaps this particular forum isn't the right one for you.

I'm sorry but that is a completely ridiculous post from a moderator or poster.

The Forum should be about all things to do with Sheffield football and if those who don't like what is being posted, then they are the ones who should go elsewhere.

At the risk of getting banned, could you tell me why the price of season tickets linked to the financial fair play rules that are coming in contravenes the rules.

We are having to sit through post after post about how many are going to MK Dons and Exeter, yet if I bring up the pictures of previous away followings the post is removed and thread closed.

Parity is required across the board, United can brag about their followings but they also need to take the stick about previous followings. They can delight in the imminent prospect of promotion but they shouldn't be allowed to shy away from the fact that this has cost your owner an estimated £10 million this season.

Reality has to be dealt with, and bias shouldn't be afforded to one side of the city.

I'm using the linked definition of "topic" and I suggest that my suggestion for improving the forum and getting people back posting is perfectly within this description.

But hey-ho, clearly a different definition exists that I'm not yet aware of.
