cabrit   10 #1 Posted April 13, 2012 My grandad Arthur Hoyland served in the West Riding Battery of the Royal Horse Artillery in WW1. They trained at Wentworth Woodhouse. I have a photo and would like to hear from anyone who has any information of family connection.  I am also looking for help with my "Hoyland" family tree. Arthur was born in 1898 in the Upper Hallam Fulwood area as were the ancestors who I have found in the census records. Do I have any relatives out there????  Ian
 Share this content via...

grannypat   11 #10 Posted April 20, 2012 Hi Cabrit, I went to Brincliffe Grammar school, Nether Edge and we had a history teacher named Mr Hoyland but I'm sorry I don't remember his Christian name, that's if I ever knew it. He lived on Tullibardine Road, Ecclesall. Thought that this might help, if not now then perhaps at sometime in the future as your family tree progresses.
