Agent Orange   11 #4 Posted April 5, 2012 hahaha Agent Orange I am not talking anything illegal here. My friend came on student visa completed masters, worked on PSW visa, his visa expired he left to India. But due to recent changes in visa one can only come back to work in UK under sponsorship. So looking for genuine sponsors  Hope this clears your doubt  Right. Why can he not work in India, given his experience? Genuine question, really. biotechpete   10 #7 Posted April 5, 2012 Surely, coming from outside the EU there is now a requirement for the employer to be unable to fill the vacancy from the UK/EU workforce. I'd have thought quick service restaurant managers were two a penny. Not much hope of attaining sponsorship in that is there? Ms Macbeth   75 #8 Posted April 5, 2012 I understood that to get a work permit now applicants need to have specialist skills that can't be met by the UK workforce. Restaurant managers don't appear on the list of occupational shortages, probably why he can't get sponsorship. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/workingintheuk/shortageoccupationlistnov11.pdf  Edit: Posted at the same time as biotechpete. Or are you suggeting that foreigners should be allowed free graduate education at our taxpayers' expense?
 Share this content via...
