Sadly FORGE Today also report Scriven as saying:

 

"all the Lib Dem candidates in the constituency of Hallam have done well and that Nick Clegg's seat will not be under threat"

 

Scriven was on Radio Sheffield earlier saying that the reason he was ousted was because he was a "big hitter" and Labour had brought in hundreds of activists, "many from outside the region", to Broomhill in order to defeat him.

Pat Midgely (Manor) by 16% of the electorate

 

Tony Damms (Southey) by 17% of the electorate

 

 

So there you have British democracy in action. You can get elected when 84% of the people don't vote for you. That is why Labour don't want change.

Thirty years of disaster hasn't deterred them. They won't start now. Labour will go back to their default setting of being completely useless, wasting money, destroying services, increasing poverty, destroying education and transport because as long as the Tories are in they have got a ready made excuse. And, of course, the drones will want to believe them. Having a wrecked economy is a Godsend to Sheffield Labour. It worked for them in the '80s and it'll work for them now.
