So that's Sheffield declared, with 59 Labour councillors, 23 LibDems and 2 Greens.

For goodness sake look forward, the history is important, the record of political parties informative. We should learn by what has happened in the past and move on with that knowledge.

The fact is that socialism doesnt work. The LABOUR party has failed this city every time it has been in power. It has, more importantly failed the country, not once, time after time.

Say goodbye to investment, making the city an attractive place to set up a business. Well done Sheffielders your apathy has let the commies back in. Get the red flag on the Town Hall.

Wait for the disaster to unfurl

And only idiots and rich people vote Tory as thats the party of the moneybags set, Lib Dems are an irrelevance as are UKIP/BNP et al. At least the Labour Party tries to be on the side of the working class.

Sadly FORGE Today also report Scriven as saying:

"all the Lib Dem candidates in the constituency of Hallam have done well and that Nick Clegg's seat will not be under threat"

Scriven was on Radio Sheffield earlier saying that the reason he was ousted was because he was a "big hitter" and Labour had brought in hundreds of activists, "many from outside the region", to Broomhill in order to defeat him.

Big headed so and so.

Just picking through some of the results:

Julie Dore got elected by 17% of the electorate

Pat Midgely (Manor) by 16% of the electorate

Tony Damms (Southey) by 17% of the electorate

So there you have British democracy in action. You can get elected when 84% of the people don't vote for you. That is why Labour don't want change.

Thirty years of disaster hasn't deterred them. They won't start now. Labour will go back to their default setting of being completely useless, wasting money, destroying services, increasing poverty, destroying education and transport because as long as the Tories are in they have got a ready made excuse. And, of course, the drones will want to believe them. Having a wrecked economy is a Godsend to Sheffield Labour. It worked for them in the '80s and it'll work for them now. As for the people ................ who cares?

Of course not! What? Change? In 'think small' Sheffield?

I'm amazed some folk aren't still using outside toilets in this city of ours.

Pathetic.
