Where in Sheffield are we lacking a good coffee shop/cafe?

Recommended Posts

I sense a change of mood back toward the tea-shop - perhaps it's the austerity. Coffee tends to be associated with flashy americans and city types. Unless it's Nescafe, then it's associated with teachers breath, obviously.

Why not describe it as a cafe, rather than a coffee shop?

Nowhere, theres to many and very few are really good. There wont be any need for supermarkets soon, as we will be that lazy to shop and cook, we'll go to the cafe thats replaced the local fruit shop.

Hillsborough needs a good coffee shop desperately IMO, especially if it has customer toilets.

There used to be a Cafe in the Co Op, but that died a couple of years ago.

Does this not make there a need for a really good one?

Well if i was to get a really good bacon, egg & sausage sarnie, it would have to be the best bacon ect, so it would be around £3.50-£4 for a sarnie. The tight fisted people off lovely sheffield wont pay that, so they make do with the rubber served up by many of our greasy spoons, and if the only growth on the high street is a £3 coffee from costamegabucks, then god help us.

I agree with that actually, we could do with somewhere for a coffee up there.

Our local cafe has sarnis at £2 a time, and they are good. Unbeatable value.

What about gracies or Java lounge both of these also have customer toilets.
