hi pumpkin sorry don't get on SF very often. We mostly go to Germany but have a few weekends away in peak district (recently Rivendale and Beech Croft Farm)

 

We have tickets for the Olympics so we have a week in Essex and a week just inside the M25 in August

Don't forget if your vehicle is older than 2003 you will probably have to pay the ommision charges at £100 per day in london.

already checked and compliant although need a filter to travel in Germany. We plan to have the filter fitted in Germany as we only have an amber umwelt plackette which will seriously restrict where we can go. The filter will be around 70% cheaper in Germany for the same parts installed. Rip off Britain again

Goyt valley Buxton has some nice Wild camping areas. One near a little lake on goyt lane and the other at pyms chair carpark.

 

thats interesting as we have walked the goyt valley before, past the spanish shrine upto pyms chair, lovely area. you got a gps location for the spot at all?

I havn't the gps locations but one is at the cross roads at pyms chair right at to of the hill the other is halfway up the hill other side of the reservoir near a little pond. Parked there lots of time even helped the police with a lost person never moved on.
