Hi Shaun,

Thank you for advertising your post regarding a Snowdon climb. Having climbed the mountain myself, just last year, you will be rewarded by your efforts... especially if you avoid the tourist route (following the train track) :) I recommend Crib Goch, much more challenging and exhilirating.

I would have loved to have joined you, but unfortunately I will be busy around that time. Holiday and other such tedium :D Anyhow, ignoring the unhelpful responses, it would be nice to see you post here some more keeping us updated on your challenge.

AO :)

I tried to do Snowdon last year but was beaten back by horizontal rain and very high winds :(

Have never been so wet! It got to the point that we didn't bother avoiding any streams or puddles because we actually could not get any wetter!

It was pretty fun even so, hope to try again this year but I'll be doing it with my dog so a regular group might not be suitable for me (as would have special accommodation needs and definitely couldn't do the crib goch route - that'd be dangerous!)

Has anyone been up Snowdon on a clear day? I've been up twice and seen nothing but mist at the top. I've tried cheating by landing Google Earth onto the summit and the view over Anglesey, Lleyn etc looks like it should be great.
