(You can get angle iron in 6mt lengths)  Angle iron is quite strong. I have concreted lengths of angle iron in to the ground (and welded bits either side of it to give it more stability) to fix chainlink fencing to. This is the type of fencing you would see around tennis courts. In actual fact, the steel used to support the fencing on tennis courts is angle iron. It is available in different thicknesses, i.e 3mm & 6mm.  I bought mine from Hilsbrough steel stockholders Tel 2855525.
