spooky3 Â Â 10 #1 Posted March 18, 2012 I have numerous domain names I want to decommission, but want to keep the email accounts, any suggestions to hosting packages you use?
 Share this content via...
outofbox   10 #2 Posted March 18, 2012 You can use Google Apps to set up email accounts. In free Google Apps account you can setup up to 10 email addresses for a particular domain. You don't need hosting for any of the domains to set them up on Google Apps but you need to do certain settings in DNS for those domains.  Free Google Apps Account Setup: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html Email setup on Google Apps: http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=33352  Let me know if you have any problem. dmowfo   10 #5 Posted March 19, 2012 123-reg.co.uk are pretty good and reasonably cheap. Only pop3 but you will page a lot for imap accounts.
 Share this content via...

Waldo   96 #7 Posted March 20, 2012 I use 123-reg.co.uk for my domain, and manage it myself, I point to google apps for mail (set your mx records in your domain registrars admin panel). Using goole apps for mail means you can use IMAP rather than POP3, you can access your mail via a client application, or through a gmail like web interface. Plus, google spam filtering is pretty decent!  I'd say it's definitely the way to go.
 Share this content via...
swarfendor437 Â Â 14 #8 Posted March 22, 2012 Read in LinuxFormat you are supposed to be able to have your own cloud and mail server - o.k. not the same as Email hosting packages but worth a gander!
