ging viking   10 #13 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) The justification sunshine, is that when half canned football idiots start their tribal dancing and chanting, they can become very dangerous! This may or may not have developed at this match we will not know ,but the police(damned if they do damned if they don't) were not taking any chances and rightly so! We are still trying to get over the disaster at Hillsborough all those years ago,and some idiots are still trying to blame the police when any sane person knows that the blame lies with the behavior of certain elements of the supporters.  Can't help thinking they were enjoying the bully boy tactics.  Like mentioned above there is no respect for police anymore and not many are bothered about consequences ether which is bad for police but with videos like that im not surprised as it was bang out of order ! melthebell   862 #14 Posted March 18, 2012 Thats bang out of order they were grabbing whoever they could get hold of and throwing them about kids were getting seperated from adults but they didnt care about that looked to me like the fans were the main culprits for people getting seperated and being too close to move tbh looked very uncomfortable, id have been claustophobic
 Share this content via...
Robbie Loving   10 #15 Posted March 18, 2012 A bit sore because we are level on points eh ?  Not sore about it, still think we will finish second.  reasonable my ass they were just being bully boys like they are at every ground in country then wonder why no one has any respect for them anymore  Speak for yourself, I have the utmost respect for our police force and the job they do. Hotmale 1954 Â Â 201 #16 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Popular song at S6, but does anybody ever think about women and kids having to listen to it? I cringe when they sing it at Hillsborough, and I look round and see respectible women trying not to hear, and 6 to 10 year old kids clapping along as if this is the way to carry on in public. The modern way I suppose when a few f's, b's and c's are heard all the time, wherever you are. If the fans were blocking a tunnel or a thoroughfare, and were asked to at least clear a way through and didn't, then that's what the club employ the cops to do. It's not easy to hear who shouted what, but the cops do seem to be semi selective who they oiked out, and it would probably be them with the biggest gobs. Bitta drink involved no doubt. Not nice to see, and any outsider would say the cops were vindicated in what they did. barnie41   29 #17 Posted March 18, 2012 I was taking the pee ! There was no need for the mindless im a big man in my uniform behavior was there ?  Shame that they arn't so tough on there own !  Grow up fella! That place is crushed with too many people - women and kids around and if anything happens there is no way out. There is no point in having deep and meaningful discussions with fans who are only bothered about showing how big they are - and 'doing what they want' - mostly when they've had a beer and have numbers behind them. Seems that they didn't 'do what they want' - te cops did well to sort it with no violence, just getting the job done.
 Share this content via...
CorkerSWFC Â Â 10 #18 Posted March 18, 2012 To be fair the packed concourses have been going on for a couple of seasons now, that is nothing compared to what the feds were like down at QPR, ask Eastbank.
 Share this content via...

rubydazzler   11 #20 Posted March 18, 2012 I thought they were remarkably restrained under the circumstances, tbh.  And why is there always some old baldy guy mouthing off at the police in these crowd scenes? Stay at home, grandad, or keep your trap shut, and stop giving a bad example to the kiddiwinks.
 Share this content via...

Scozzie   10 #22 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) i dint see anything that wrong either tbh, to me it looked like a tunnel that was completely full and boisterous that couldve easily turned into a crush, police forcefully push a few people out, crowd start getting radged seeing this imaginary police brutality and start swearing at the police, so they get more forceful and throw more out, ive seen far worse, ive suffered far worse lol  That is exactly how I saw it too. They're damned if the do and damned if they don't . If one, just one person who was jumping up and down on the staircase fell off, then the crown surged.... What then? The cops would be done for not doing anything. The concourse was crammed and anything could have gone wrong. If kids are being separated from their parents, then the parents shouldn't be setting such a bad example, that gets them ejected. Being a 'supporter' doesn't give you free rein to be a ****, but thank you for sharing the video with us to show us had badly behaved we can be. Did they let any of those they pushed out of the ground back in though? Seems a bit unfair to get chucked out simply for being the nearest person to the exit.
