Plump DJs are London based production and DJ duo Lee Rous and Andy Gardner whose energetic, quirky productions and skilful, pounding DJ sets have acquired a loyal and admiring fan base the world over.

The Plump DJs sound is revered for its blurring of the boundries between electronic musical styles taking in Electro, Breakbeat and Techno.

From the now legendary Laboratoire de Plump in the deepest darkest depths of seedy Soho the Plump DJs have produced and four major artist albums to date, Eargasm, A Plump Night Out, Saturday Night Lotion and Headthrash, all hugely acclaimed by both fans and music press alike.

The Plumps have also enjoyed major success both in the clubs and in the charts with over 30 of their own releases and remix commissions from the likes of Deadmou5, Fenech Solar, Loops of Fury, The Stanton Warriors, Orbital and The Freestylers,

After experiencing such longevity on the scene, supported by a ten year successful residency at Fabric nightclub and Fingerlickin records partnership, what is next for the Plump DJs? As well as continually touring the World including Asia, USA and Canada the boys have launched their own record label Grand Hotel which will focus on releasing their own productions and other cutting edge electronic artists.

Evil Nine are Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy who first combined skills in 1998 and were quickly identified as a quality DJ/Producer duo by Adam Freeland who signed them to his Marine Parade label. Since then each of their releases have distinguished Evil Nine as innovators who refuse to blend into the scene, deriving their musical flavour from multiple influences including post punk, italo-disco, electro, classic power ballads, techno, krautrock, yacht rock, hip hop & 80's electronic movie soundtracks .

After various single releases Evil Nine’s debut album You Can Be Special Too was

released to critical acclaim in 2005 (“Just killer tracks,” VICE; “Assertive, chunky, majestic,” The Independent; “The Beastie Boys would be proud,” Q; “Best album I’ve heard in a long time,” Pete Tong; “Album of the year by the hottest producers,” Eddie Temple Morris). In addition to their own material, Evil Nine have also released for the renowned Fabric Live mix series and held a residency at the club of the same name and at Audio in Brighton.

After the success of 2009’s ‘The Power EP’ and fresh from remixing Temper Trap, Spankrock, Alex Metric and Don Diablo, Evil Nine started 2010 with a new club single, ‘No Manners’ featuring blogger’s favourite, the South African rapper Spoek Mathambo. Since then the boys have launched their own record label, FOR LOVERS, and have already received huge praise for its first releases, Ultimo and Stay Up and most recently Auto EP. 2011 sees Evil Nine pushing their sound further with singles 'The Little Prince' & 'Roar', remixes for Dem Slackers & Broke One and an eagerly anticipated 3rd studio album is also on the horizon.

I'm also playing this one. Lots of tasty breakbeats, none of them new as they stopped making good breaks ages ago...

Here's an old Urban Gorilla mix from 2003 to get you in the mood
