2001louise   10 #3 Posted March 11, 2012 it could be a few things,  1, you are not putting the clutch down fully.  2, the clutch is on its way out  3, the flywheel isnt biting properly  4, the gearbox is on its way out.  what has the garage said it could be
 Share this content via...
Greengeek   10 #4 Posted March 11, 2012 (edited) What engine is it and how many miles? We've got an i-CTDI 2.2 Accord and that is currently having clutch problems @ 100k.  If it's diesel, then be prepared for a massive cost. You're supposed to replace the DMF at the same time. Parts alone, the clutch kit is £180 and the DMF is £360. Then add labour, probs around 3 hours @ ~ £45 an hour. mr_arc   10 #7 Posted March 11, 2012 Does it grind when engaging the gear, or when driving?  If it's when driving it might just be a failing engine mount causing a knock agaisnt the exhaust/exhaust heat shiel
 Share this content via...
