Sheffield 20s & 30s Walking Group Sat 10th March: You'll Never Walk Alone

Recommended Posts

Saturday 10th March You'll Never Walk Alone

A1 (8 miles): We start this walk at the main train station - Liverpool Lime Street - and roughly follow an urban stretch of the Trans Pennine Trail, not without passing some of the main sights of the city: Urban walking to see some fantastic architecture, including the two very different cathedrals in the city centre, green walking through Princess Park and possibly a quick glance at Sefton Park Palm House, and marine walking along the famous docks including Albert Dock and its famous view of the Liverpool Skyline. Plan is to then collapse into a local pub for a pint before moving on to somewhere to eat (to be confirmed).

There will be a chance to buy lunch at the station before we set off or somewhere en route (I'm sure).

We recommend that this walk is combined with a night (or two) in the city and Barry's trip to see 'Another Place' on Crosby Beach on Sunday (See Socials Page)

Start: SJ350904, Liverpool Lime Street Train Station

Transport: Meet at Sheffield Station at 8.30am in time for the 8.42am train to Liverpool Lime Street (arrival at 10.31). Walk start: 11am from Information Desk between platform 7 and 8. Please check the messageboard / website nearer the time for for any alterations.
