Bisexuals, where do they fit in

Recommended Posts

Although I was in the shower at the gym the other day and a man was looking at me. I was wondering if gay people should have a seperate changing room because if straight people can't share why should gay people be allowed in with straight. Or should gay men go in with the women, ooohhh yes that means we'd get the lesbians...I'm liking this plan...:)

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but those aren't morals. They're prejudices born of ignorance and fear.

There is no moral argument against homosexuality whatsoever.

There was then this is what you fail to grasp, those days people went to church in vast numbers and were taught a different set of morals to what people are taught today and there certainly were moral arguments then against homosexuality, the system has changed I dont deny that, in a lot of ways I think for the worst and in a lot of ways for the better.

In fifty years if the law were to change and it became normal for siblings to have sex with each other would you not be shocked ?

Im sorry ,I do tend to see the sexuality of people as either Im not knocking anyone it just appears to me as though there would be a conflict in the mind of a bisexual,I remember reading about someone in the States, where else, going on a killing spree because of the dilemma as to whether he was straight or gay because he fancied men and women.

Perhaps he was struggling to overcome the way in which he'd been raised, but it doesn't mean all bisexuals go through such dilemmas.

There's no conflict in my mind. I've no desire to go on the rampage because I like men and women.

I can understand that Glamrocker but then you are a friend of mine. I dont think that the posters know exactly what your point is, I do ! I started out with a wife and kids as you know but things changed and I couldnt help it. I didnt love my wife anymore and then found out that I preferred men to women. In the transition I suppose that I looked at both men and women but there is a point that you say to yourself " I am whatever I am" and I turned out to be gay. big deal to anyone that doesnt like it, I dont care. Nor do the bi sexual posters either really. its just a knee jerk decision to condemn any sexuality when its on a forum. anonymity is a brave thing.... can I do some dancing bananas now ?

sod it..:banana::banana::banana::banana: its a banana disco

But the point is youre not actually bi sexual are you as you said you tried a straight life but encountered problems with yourself and realised you were gay ..thats not the same as bisexuality

Are we talking the hedonistic life here or the "lets get settled down and become a family" life ?

What you are presenting there as morals were the result of ignorance and fear. In philosophical terms, there is no moral argument against homosexuality.

Further back than 50 years ago - like, say, in ancient Greece, to pick an example not entirely at random - attitudes were very different from the Victorian 'morality' you're talking about there.

I'll be honest - I don't particularly care if siblings want to have sex. It doesn't shock me, or upset me. It may be unusual, but sibling-attraction happens. And incest as fantasy is very, very popular, as evidenced by the large amount of porn that is incest-themed.

Who is to what is ignorance and fear and what is normal and what is not ,just because a bunch of politicians decided that homosexuality is legal doesnt make it right in the eyes of god..Im not a bible basher Im just playing the devils advocate, re the subject it has the makings of an interesting debate ..until the trolls arrive

IMO they are just people like gays, straights, transexuals etc, they are human beings like you or i, they shouldnt have to 'fit in' to society as there sexuallity shouldnt be an issue at all. itis only people who dont understand that have issues, they should be addressed by their name not as a 'bisexual', just my opinion :D

The thing is I have friends who are openly gay ,men and women and repect them for their openness as yet I have never met a openly bisexual, again i stress Im just being inquisitive,is there a stigma attached to bisexuality among both sides of the coin, Gays and straights.
