London House pub

Recommended Posts

From the 1891 census we have found out mother in laws mother was a landlady re-siding at 25 Pinestone st. Looking in the book " A Pub on Every Corner" we assume the pub must have been the "London House", which was demolished in 1898 to make way for the town hall.

Anyone out there with any more info about this pub, or better still any prints or photo's of it maybe ?

Not much more info than you probably have already...Sheffield History website has this pub indexed as ...

Opened 1796

Closed 1898

Span 102 Years

Only keeper they have registered up to now is ...

1822 T. V. Morrant

Good luck with your quest for more info.
