Glory Watch   10 #7 Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks for interest in my shop.  The name is glorywatchcompany.co.uk  Glory Watch Company is not the usual name you would expect for such a venture, but Diesel isn't the kind of name you would expect for a watch brand. So you know.. why not be a bit different. Better than JJ's Watch shop or Watches in Sheffield.  The Battery charges issue - The prices are no different to other outlets. It is worth considering that when you change your own battery you will need the silicon needed to ensure the watch is still water proof. Also if you need to buy the correct tools to remove inner plates that some (not all Grandma) watches have in place the cost will increase from the £2.50 paid for just the battery.  Another consideration - digital watches have same size batteries with different power outputs.  In the end it depends if you have a cheap throw away watch, in which case it's probably worth the risk 'having a go' doing it yourself. I wouldn't and didn't before I had my own shop.  Battery changing prices from £6.00.  Anyone want to buy anything in store 10% off if you quote Grandma.  Regards KB
 Share this content via...

Glory Watch   10 #9 Posted May 11, 2012 It was to buy and fit a battery wasn't it? I felt a bit concerned about this thread after I read it, so I called a couple of places (well known jewellers on Fargate and cobblers on West Street) to make sure we were charging the correct prices for battery and to fit it, and we are the same or cheaper. So I can relax now. Anyway back to life and the kids.
 Share this content via...
