Elvis had the best male singing voice he could sing rock and roll and ballads with ease, his voice was note perfect and from the heart, even at the end he could still sing as good as ever.

Love me tender

All shook up

Devil in disguise

suspicious minds

Girl of my best friend

My favorite female singer has to be Dusty Springfield

If you go away

You don't have to say

Son of a preacher

Look of Love

I just don't know what to do with my self.

many many more songs from Dusty..

Another great singer who my dad got me into is Glen Campbell. Fantastic voice and great songs by Jimmy Webb. "Wichita Lineman" is my favourite. Another one who's CDs i'm always meaning to look for but never do. I have his Greatest Hits LP from about 1970.

We didn't get a tv till 1972 so I grew up through the 60's with Radio 2 and Elvis, Tom Jones and Englebert. The two songs which strike a chord with me are Mack the Knife and King of the Road. The hours I have heard my Dad whistling these tunes or sat, whistling, and drumming his fingers on the table. At 86 he can still whistle a good tune.
