Andy C   86 #16 Posted May 5, 2012 only reason I can see we may have to make any late changes to the buses this year is if there are issues with the roads to the Cricket Inn, that shouldn't alter the timetable just the route in the Totley area. Also we are using Linburg rather than TM Travel and all venues will have a half hourly bus service this year. An even better FREE bus service! The programme can now be downloaded from http://www.sheffieldcamra.org.uk/3Valleys.htm  Note there are still more beers to be added to the list though....  Linburg have confirmed they are able to operate to the Cricket Inn so the bus timetable published in the programme should be the one we use... Doom   10 #21 Posted May 24, 2012 beer list on website now updated, more beers at the Three Tuns! http://www.threevalleysfestival.org.uk  I've never been to the Three Tuns before, but that's a very impressive set-up on their part.  I can see us spending a good chunk of time there sampling a fair few of those ales.  If the weather's decent we might even walk between the Dronfield pubs to give the liver a rest.....What sort of timescales are we talking to walk between the pubs?  Regards  Doom
 Share this content via...
DerbyTup   10 #22 Posted May 24, 2012 Cross border festival. Could be interesting.  Yes - we will have to have strict border controls to ensure those Sheffielder's don't want to stay in beautiful Derbyshire longer than their temporary visa allows. Otherwise, we'll end up with a problem not dissimilar to the Mexican's trying to invade the United States.
 Share this content via...

The only downside is, they can't get their beer pumps to work properly. It takes about 30 pulls to fill one pint glass and it comes out looking like its got Fairy liquid in there somewhere. Shouldn't be a problem if it's taken straight from the barrel for the beer fest though.  Apart from that, it has friendly staff, a reasonably good, large range of ales (tends to major on it's own Spire beers, understandably, some of which are good, the odd one or two of which are excellent, but many are fairly bland, similarish, 4% ish type brews) and decent food as well.  Walking from there to Dronfield Arms, maybe 10 mins max. From Dronfield Arms to Coach & Horses - about 20 mins.
 Share this content via...
