Tofts Lane Tresspasser

Recommended Posts

don't forget you can use "reasonable force" to remove a trespasser. if she had hurt herself she could have sued you for her injury. put up some private property signs.

You can only use reasonable force if they refuse to leave when asked.

Why is she taking photos of a building site in the first case!!!

What have you got to hide? Breaking your planning permissions? :suspect:

I'm sure half the properties on there are council owned anyways.

Some people don't half get worked up over daft little things. I am very surprised you have the internet yet know what it is.

Go back to watching the grass :loopy:

Mrs Miggins has just been on twitter to report the following;

#Re; Tofts Lane

We at Tofts Lane will not, repeat not reveal what is happening to the rear of my Pie Shop. Tarpaulines have been erected (a rude word for a Tofts Lane property owner) to keep out nosy people who shop at Aldi and might live in a council house. When our secret building project is unveiled, we hope that all the millions of tourists that flock to Tofts Lane each weekend will enjoy looking, not touching, whatever it is that we are building. Tickets will be on sale from Monday 35th of Octember, and these will be made available on a "First come, First served" basis, but payment will only be accepted via American Express Gold cards, or Diners Club. We thank SuziWoozieFloozie for setting the record straight as to just how friendly we all are down here on Tofts Lane, and hope to see you all soon. Mercedes and Jaguar parking will be made available.

Well, that tweet speaks volumes, dosent it?

You are a big big idiot. Aldi is a german supermarket. Germans are far ahead from britain in development of science quality and technology.

BMW, Volkswagen are german makes as well.

German quality of food and products is superior to those of british supermarkets by far!

My bold=

She was being neighbourly, would you like a neighbour who questioned any stranger on your property or would you prefer them to just ignore them regardless of whether they may be up to something dodgy?

if my neighbour had an attitude like the OP's I wouldn't want her sticking her nose into my life at all, whether something dodgy was going on or not.

It is her stuck up, arrogant, self involved assumption that the photographer was some nosey conservationist out to ruin their neighbours construction plans out of jealousy at not being able 'to afford to live there' which is leaving people with little sympathy for her.

If i had seen someone photographing a neighbours property that was undergoing construction I'd have assumed they were involved in it, one way or another, and left them to it.

Aldi over here source the majority of their stock from smaller, cheaper british firms such as ye olde oak, there is a very small percentage of their stock that actually derives from Germany. So you're comment is a little irrelevant.

Back on topic....

I can now ressure Mrs nosey cow that the Rivelin Valley Conservation Group did not put up any kind of objection to this new build when it was submitted.

But they did object to the barn across the road at Model farm which is becoming the biggest eyesore in the valley, and why they need a barn of this size when it is not a working farm is beyond me.

1 complaint was made to the new build by a member of Loxley Valley conservation group but what it has got to do with them I don't know.

Is it just me that finds the Rivelin Valley oppressive, dark, grey, dingy and damp? It needs some trees chopping down

As Tofts Lane is just down the road from us, we decided to have a little venture down this afternoon. Although I don't condone tresspassing, the OPs general attitude really ruffled my feathers - I wanted to see for myself such a place as I wouldn't ever be able to afford to live in..

It wasn't that special, I prefer where I live :D

It would be helpful if someone could post some photographs of this eyesore.

What is the barn going to be used for if it isn't a working farm? Maybe it's going to be a terrorist training camp or a pornographic film set. I think the whole of Sheffield should be concerned and ought to go round and take a look.

I congratulate SUZIFACE for drawing everyone's attention to this blot on the landscape.

3 Cheers for the OP.......Hip Hip.....

My blood boils every time I see the barn at Model Farm. It was originally built without planning permission & cost the Council & therefore the people of Sheffield a pretty penny in court fees for enforcement orders, which were ignored.

It seems that some of the residents of Rivelin Valley feel that they can build what they want where they want. I agree wholeheartedly that the Tofts Lane area has become an eyesore. And God help anyone who ventures down there with a camera. Never mind, there'll be nothing worth photographing down there soon.

Actually I've just been informed that the barn is going to be used as a halfway hostel for paedophiles and terrorist asylum seekers.

(:hihi:)
