hi you all this may seem early but each year i have to turn away a lot of carbooters as we can only do our car boot area on a 1st come 1st served pre-booked principle as its part of a huge festival with over 15,000 visiters in 2012,we have a total of only 30 carbooters each year, and they are on a main walk way so to save disapointment if you would like a stall just email stephen.rich@hotmail.co.uk please note the size of your car boot area is 4x4 metres and space for the car so you can have a nice set up thank you bassett one

Taken from Hillsborough Arena's Facebook Page:

Hillsborough Arena

  • MEGA Car Boots
  • 200 spaces
  • July 21st & 28th
  • August - 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th
  • September - 1st
  • Cars £7, Vans £10
  • No Need to book, Plenty of room
  • No sellers before 7.00am

These events take place in order to raise much needed funds for our charity. The selling of crisps drinks and sweets is in direct competition to our own fundraising efforts and therefore not allowed on this site

Things you might not know about us:

· Hillsborough Arena is a registered charity

· All of the staff you see outside are volunteers

· All money raised is invested in our facilities

We are hoping that the money we make this summer from our car boots will pay for drainage work needed.

During this last year we have provided a base for 12 junior clubs, 2 disability clubs and 6 older peoples groups. If we didn’t subsidise these clubs most of them would not exist.

I'm afraid here isn't one. It is not car boot sale season - they don't start until March/April. There used to be an all year car boot sale in the city centre, but the Council sold the land for a hotel!!

There is a brilliant one from April through to October at The Twin Oaks Hotel Palterton (just past Barlborough) Absolutely massive & the Hotel itself does a mean proper chip butty. We have sold there on numerous occasions and have never made less than £200 each time, entry is £1 and there is Free parking, give yourself a good 3 hours to get around the site.It opens at 12:30 on a Saturday, sellers need to be there at 10:30 at the most in order to get a decent pitch.
