How do i get rid??

i was experimenting and got a old 40GB external usb hard drive and i instaled ubuntu 11 on it.

 

but the annoying this is now i dont want to use it, when i boot the machine it asks me which OS i want to use. it comes up with windows 7 and ubuntu.

 

how do i get rid of the ubuntu option???

 

i have unplugged the external drive and its still there.

Load msconfig, go to the Boot tab and simply delete the option from the boot menu.

Taken from a reply i had asking the same, and it worked.

the bootloaders still on your actual puter lol

try this i've used it before for fixing my boot loader with multiple os's on, i imagine theres a remove option too

oh yeah lol never looked in boot before just start up :P

 

looks like you just highlight which one you dont want and click delete

when i press the down arrow to highlight it, all i can do is press enter.

click on your start menu

then click run from the list

type msconfig

then select the boot tab

Right click "My Computer"

go to "Properties"

on the left click "Advanced System Settings"

Under the "Advanced" tab, click the "Settings" button under Startup and Recovery

at the top, under "Default Operating System" select Windows

and untick the box that says "Time to display list of operating systems"

 

Click Ok, and Ok again, and reboot....
