Must see things to do in Sheffield

Hey I moved over to Sheffield a few months ago

I will only be here for another 6months or so and I am just looking at must things to do in this lovely city before I leave back to Ireland

 

Any chance you can provide me with a list of key unique things that this city/region has to offer (I can drive btw)

Sheffield round walk.

 

Explore Rivelin Valley.

 

Visit Chatsworth if that's your sort of thing.

 

Loads of places in the Peak District to explore.

walk round castle market, some great people there

 

lyceum or crucible for a good show

 

 

go to the local football derby and experience the atmosphere

watch an international act at the arena (cant believe olly murs has sold it out! music in my day..........)

You could eat out on London Road in a different restaurant/takeaway every day for a month.

Hollywood Bowl?

Heya - I have done a few of the things mention so far such as go to the Sheffield derby (and I got a ticket for next months game too), have a few nights out, gone to the lescar for a comedy gig and gone around to a few villages about the peak district

 

I plan to go botanical gardens but I will wait until the weather starts improving, I will get tickets for the Snooker

But whats so special about the museum, castle market and Hollywood Bow

Botanicals are great (we got married there!) but also the Winter gardens. Sheffield has some of the best parks and allegedly has the most. Go and see the animals in Graves Park or wander around Millhouses Park.
