Chaos in Town Centre this morning 09/12/05

Sheffield Town Centre is at a standstill,

 

A bus has broken down on the juction where the come down pass the Co Op and turn right to go towards Fitzallen Square.

 

I was there at 10.45 and when I left at 11.05 traffic was backed up in all directions.

 

I don't know if they have shifted the bus yet, but it was total bedlam and will probably take a while to get back to normal

I find it amazing how a simple broken down bus can cause absolute traffic chaos. It gets embarassing, good job its not snowing!

 

I hope its not long before everything goes back to normal, for anyone travellings sake.

A Bus Lane here, unoccupied

Once took a bus instead, I tried!

To get used to waiting in the rain

For what it costs, I'll take my car

Despite the tail-backs to West Bar

Pray to the Lord, my soul to keep

Behind my wheel I fall to sleep

 

So next time that you've got to travel
