It doesn't sound like they did give a quote, they simply said they didn't want to carry out the repair.

 

They are not obliged to do a repair for windows 20 years old, and I guess it could be a lot of time wasted - sending someone round, working out if repairable, giving a quote - only for the customer to decide not to have the work done. If they have continuous guaranteed work lined up with new customers then why should they risk wasting time inspecting possible repair work that might not go ahead? They are as free to turn down the work as anyone.

 

Getting involved with out of warranty repair work must be risky for them

Used to swear but these guys brilliant service but not so much recently.

 

Got them out for a quote recently  nothing really bad but much as I dislike pushy sales they just did not seem very interested in getting the work very different from the previous time when they could not do enough.

 

One of the problems is the home improvement market is absolutely booming at present and there’s a big delay in getting things done they are currently quoting June for orders.

We’ve used them twice in the last 18 months including a replacement attic window and exterior work in my daughters bedroom, excellent both times and planning to use them again when we have an extension later this year.

Another satisfied SWC customer here also, had a house completely reglazed last year, just prior to lockdown. Neat and tidy job, good quality product, and competitive on price with other local firms.
