H1 bus service Northern General

Recommended Posts

Are you sure it's free for all university students? I read elsewhere that it's only for medical students. The university ID card has your department on it, so I guess they can check.

The driver just glances at it, so long as you've got a card they don't really care - SCT & the driver get their money anyway! :hihi:

It's a nightmare trying to catch this bus when the medical students are on placement! Gets full at RHH stop in a morning

Sorry to revive an old thread. Caught this bus this morning (excellent service and not busy at all!) I paid £2 but I'm a member of University staff.. is it free with ID for staff? I can't find any information!

I think it's only free for University students with their ID card.

Best to ask the driver on your return journey I guess.

See # 11 for other exemptions

Regards

Yes - with your Uni student ID card.

It's a very good service but gets busy at times - best to arrive early to get in the queue !

It used to be free for Uni staff, but they started charging last year, even for Med School staff. Still, I think I might take advantage for a week or two whilst the Middlewood tram works are going on!

Student doctors and nurses - why not ?

The service is funded and run by the NHS to move staff from one site to another.
