Crookes another food outlet

Recommended Posts

I would like to see a genuine delicatessen in Crookes. Something which offers genuine variety and choice. Keeps everyone on their toes. Better that than another off licence.

Its supply and demand craig. If there is enough demand for the new deli, it will do well. If not, it will fail. You should know that, being a businessman!

I wish the new owners the very best of luck.

Seems to me that Craig 12 is just worried that his shop will have a bit of competition. Anyway there are other residents in Crookes not just students. I live in Walkley and use Just Natural for fruit and veg and Mr Lambs for meat so a deli would be a welcome addition. craig 12 get over yourself.:loopy:

I can't believe that charity shops pay no rent! I look forward to visiting the new deli when it opens too.

I am sure charity shops pay rent, its just business rates they don't pay.

Crookes had a deli quite a few years ago, down where Hobbycrafts moved to, it closed within 3 months due to lack of interest.

if you want food shops , kick the scrounging charity shops out that dont pay rent and rates

Do you know that for a fact?

I also think you're missing the point and definition of "charity" somewhere here.

Would you rather see charity shops fold due to high overheads, and therefore see charities and those that rely on such charity suffer as a result of this?
