Thanks for all yr suggestions. Both previous dogs have passed away, pepe (mongrel) lived to 15, unfortunatly penny (latest) had a heart attack at 8 yrs, but she was never a 'healthy' dog and was on medication from the age of 2 (king Charles), she's been gone 2 yrs now.

We have come to a family decision - Lily :-)

 

KC name is still Princess Penelope

Ive found my perfect little pup, shes a parti coloured (mainly white with brown patches) Lhasa Apso. Shes too young to leave her mum yet, so I have a few weeks to prepare.

We've discussed this as a family - and still can not decide, firstly she needs a daily name - and we also need a name to register her with the Kennel Club.

The 'breeder' has only mated the bitch once - and doesn't plan to breed from her again - she doesn't show her dog either, she's a family pet. The breeders letting me choose my own KC name. This is all very new to me, I've never bothered registering before

If that's the case, have you checked that the breeder of her bitch has given permission for her to breed? And the same with the sire? If not, you may not be able to register your pup anyway

They don't HAVE to be registered by 4 weeks You an register pups upto 6 months after

 

I'm not on about registering the pups to you

i'm on about the kennel name

i know you can't take your time

with that the latest it had to be done

was 5 weeks at the most i know when June

had her puppy's i did allow the new owners to

chose the names but they couldn't leave it to long

or we had to chose for them
