HP laptop cannot see TomTom Satnav to update

Got a problem in that my TomTom Go 730 is not being recognised by the TomTom 2 update program.

 

Have tried the remedial actions suggested on the TomTom help website but no success so far.

 

Looking for the device in Windows Explorer returns the message that the Tom Tom device is not formatted.

 

Had the same message when tried to read a USB stick. Had to reformat it onto NTS to see it. Wouldn't format sucessfully on either FAT or FAT32.

internal memory has failed more than lightly put an sd card in then go to tomtom update you should be able to download latest navcore then restore a map if you have made a backup
