bassett-boys Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Apparently a release clause in Billy Sharp's Doncaster contract kicks in today meaning the player can leave the club or £1.85m? I've never heard of such a clause myself but thats hat it says in todays People newspaper.
Stockers Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I'd heard it was £3m. As for daft clauses, Jags springs to mind, selling him for £4m when he was worth at least double that.
speedy69 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 wilson sign him up hahaaha What, so he can be poor for a third time ?
Robbie Loving Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I'd heard it was £3m. As for daft clauses, Jags springs to mind, selling him for £4m when he was worth at least double that. It was the only way he would sign the revised contract, that if it was offered at £4 million then we didn't have a choice. The £4 million figure was a bit daft, considering Wigan offer £5 million before he played in the PL. But what do you do when your player states he won't sign a new contract unless the clause is inserted? As for Sharp, good luck to the lad wherever he ends up. It would be interesting if a PL side comes in for him, as I was always convinced he would never make it at that level.
sheff2121 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Great striker, great lad good luck to him what ever happens, he deserves a big money move with what him and his family have had to put up with over the last few weeks/months...
s2 blade Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 What, so he can be poor for a third time ? How would you know? Or are you another obsessed owl? And he has never been poor btw. First time he was untried second time he was mis-managed!
HeadingNorth Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Signed for Saints, undisclosed. I saw £1.5 million in one newspaper report, before it was announced as an undisclosed fee. Where they got the figure from I have no idea - probably inspired guesswork?
