lirta1 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Just on my way home from working a night shift this morning when i approached the lights on Sufflok Road from the midland station when i noticed an asian taxi driver in a white cab turning right out of Shoreham street onto Suffolk Road, he drove down the wrong side of the road towards facing traffic should there have been anyone sat at the lights and then incredibly through a set of RED lights almost wiping me out despite me having the right of way through green lights, bearing in mind he had passengers sat in his cab i question his knowledge of the roads and how he has managed to obtain a license in the first place?
Forumosaurus Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 To be fair they are professional drivers, to an unprofessional sometimes they may look reckless but they know what they're doing.
Tomm06 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I've found a lot of taxi drivers break the rules at early morning hours when there's no one around, there's one junction near me that taxi drivers regularly ignore the red light.
lirta1 Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 I disagree with them all being professional drivers they are always parking up by the cash machine on the corner of Suffolk Road on a blind bend where you can almost run into the back of them, they always park on double yellow lines and in cycle lanes by the station, they block the entrance to the funeral parlour and network rail premises on cross allen street, and since when is it professional as a driver to say it is safe to run through red lights and drive the wrong way down a road? as a professional driver myself anticipation is part of being proffesional

bullerboY Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 To be fair they are professional drivers, to an unprofessional sometimes they may look reckless but they know what they're doing.Don't make me laugh.professional drivers check their lights and read the Highway code, these taxi drivers can't even get out of their warm seats to knock on a door they have to blow their horns at illegal periods,oh,remind me do they have a Highway code in their country and do they ever clean their vehicles.I would rather walk than risk my neck with one of these professionals.

lirta1 Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 The frightening thing is, he makes a statement saying they know what their doing and only appear to an untrained eye to be dangerous? the fact is i had set off on a green light but was aware of his stupidity to stop in enough time to avoid an head on smash
